The former Chicago Bears quarterback, Jim McMahon has listed his Scottsdale mansion, Arizona, and is selling it for $2.4 million.

The "Punky QB" grabbed real estate headlines with the 2009 sale of his Northbrook, Illinois mansion, which sold for $2.8 million.

The Scottsdale mansion was built in 1993 and is spread across an area of 6,430 square feet on a 2.16 acre lot. Featuring four bedrooms and five bathrooms, the place sports high ceilings with carpet and tile flooring. The home has a dine-in kitchen along with a breakfast bar. Large formal living and dining rooms lined with cozy fireplaces add to the charm of the house.

A private spa, a den, a laundry area and a game room are its other features. Outside, the home boasts of a circular driveway leading to a four-car garage. A patio overlooks the garden and a gazebo, all encompassed in a gated and fenced property, reports Realtor.com.

The place is laden with modern amenities as well. High speed cable Internet and a state-of-the-art security system are some of the modern technologies that come free with the residence. A separate guest house is also available. A koi pond with beautiful stone architecture surrounding it is one of its beautiful features. McMahon played for various NFL teams throughout his career including the Chicago Bears, the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers. McMahon led the Bears to victory in the finale of the 1986 Super Bowl. He ranks No. 50 on the "NFL All-Time Passer rating list". His flashy headbands and quirky comments earned him the nickname "Punky QB".

McMahon was famous not only for his brilliant quarterbacking abilities but was also known for being injury prone. The concussions he suffered during his gaming days have now resulted in early stages of dementia.
