Amy Schumer will dominate the screen with her one-woman show on HBO this coming October. She also gained a new fan: Anne Hathaway.
As reported by Mashable, Amy Schumer, that one comedian nowadays that can't seem to make everyone stop from laughing, will have her very own comedy special on HBO. It is entitled "Amy Schumer: Live at The Apollo" which will premiere this coming October 12th at ten in the evening, eastern standard time.
The upcoming HBO Special was featured in Mashable wherein a 50-second trailer was released. It showed how Schumer was naturally, how she would joke sarcastically about the lives of Hollywood celebrities, how she is up front and uncontrollable when it came to her views about dating, and most importantly, making a weird drunk who chugs on wine bottles appear cool on television.
In other news, this type of personality that Schumer exudes has captured her another fan, aside of course for Jennifer Lawrence.
When Anne Hathaway was interviewed by Refinery 29 reported People, she was able to blurt out in full honesty, "I am crushing so hard on Amy Schumer."
Unlike most people in Hollywood who only admire Schumer for her outstanding humor and ability to be blunt about almost everything, Hathaway praised her because of her ability to steer women away from the formalities that society expects of them.
Hathaway stated, "Women like her who have chosen to stand up for themselves and face the bullies are being so embraced. I think that's the new message: Figure out who you are, be happy with yourself, and don't take anything from anyone. Don't let anyone make you feel bad about you. That's something that I've been growing into."
In fact, Schumer joked about Hathaway's acting once in her film "Trainwreck," which the actress gracefully acknowledged through her Instagram account saying, "Dear @AmySchumer, Don't pretend like when you win your Oscar- which could for you brilliant and refreshing writing and/or acting in @TrainwreckMovie- you won't tote it around to every Oscar party you go to. Way to slay, Annie."
With gaining celebrity fans such as Anne Hathaway and landing gigs like non-stop, Amy Schumer is a force to be reckoned with in the industry. Catch her upcoming HBO Special on October 17, at ten in the evening.
