Famous Broadway songwriter and lyricist, Jerry Herman has decided to unload one of his homes from his real estate kitty. The latest Herman property that has hit the listing market is a posh West Hollywood Condo sporting a price tag of $4.2 million.
Multiple Tony Award winning Herman is well known in the real estate world for his many flipping deals. According to the Washington Post, Herman has renovated and redecorated around 38 homes.
His most recent deal includes listing of his luxury Condo located off Sunset Boulevard in the center of West Hollywood. Herman purchased the home in September 2010 for $3.8 million. He made a number of changes to the home before he moved into the condo, reports Real Estalker.
The home is spread across an area of 4088 square feet with three bedrooms and five bathrooms. Comprising of two separate wings, the residence sports shiny limestone flooring with huge Brazilian Mahogany front doors and floor-to-ceiling windows. The place features modern home automation systems. Huge living and family rooms mark the entrance while a private balcony provides for picturesque views of the city and the mountains.
A guest bedroom, an office/study and a modern gourmet kitchen with built-in cabinetry and a center island are its other features. The condo building offers lavish amenities as well. A residents-only banquet hall, a lighted tennis court, a modern gym and a roof-top swimming pool with a garden area are some of the facilities. Twenty four hour concierge and guest valet parking are also available.
In 2012, Herman sold a property in the Palm Springs area in California. He currently owns a residence in Florida as well.
Herman penned the songs featured in popular Broadway musicals like "Hello dolly!", "Mame" and "Milk and Honey". He won a special Tony award in 2009 for "Lifetime Achievement in the Theater". In 2010, he was honored at the Kennedy Center.
