After reports of the "Freaky Friday" actress, Lindsay Lohan, moving in to her "teenage room" at her mother's place were proved wrong, word is out that she is living in a classy Penthouse in New York, rent-free.
The penthouse, located in the SoHo area of New York, belongs to a friend of Lohan and has been loaned to her charge-free until she finds a place of her own, reports Zee News.
The building has been home to stars like Nicole Kidman, Ben Stiller and Lenny Kravitz. Courtney Love also had an apartment in the building. However, she sold it in 2006, reports TMZ.
The building offers luxury amenities like 24/7 concierge services, tasting room and wine cellar.
Lohan recently vacated her Beverly Hills estate that she rented for $8000 a month. Her inability to pay the rent forced her to move out. The home has now hit the rental market for $10,000 a month.
It was rumored that LiLo was going to live with her mother in her Long Island home. However, the rumors were rubbished by a source close to LiLo, who claimed that she visited the Long Island home only to visit her brother.
Her financial troubles are all over the news. She still owes her former lawyer, Shawn Holley, around $150,000 and is liable to pay $130,000 in taxes as well.
The pop star is facing charges for violating her probation on the theft case. She also failed to attend her hearing on the nightclub assault incident .
Now that she is living "free" in New York, she has also found herself a new love interest. Inside sources told NY Daily News that LiLo is having a "fling" with DJ Julian Cavin.
