Samsung has already unveiled all of its Galaxy devices for 2015. This is good because Samsung fans can safely assume that the company must have something big in the works now. Coinciding with the rumors of Apple working on iPhone 7, Samsung is also rumored to be working in Galaxy S7.
According to Sammobile, a smartphone going by the codename "Lucky-LTE" has been discovered in the database of Geekbench. Sammobile claims that it has exclusively confirmed that "Lucky-LTE" is actually Galaxy S7 and has been codenamed "Project Lucky" internally because seven is considered a lucky number by many.
Moreover, there are also speculations that Samsung might be releasing two versions of the Galaxy S7. The Samsung's Exynos M1 system on a chip (SoC) found in Geekbench, rumored to be released as Exynos 8890, is said to be the force inside the Galaxy S7 prototype. Concurrently, Samsung is also reported to be conducting intensive testing on the Snapdragon 820, according to Sammobile. These reports suggest that Samsung might come up with a Galaxy S7 that has a Qualcomm processor and another one with its own Exynos 8890 chipset.
So what else is expected of Galaxy S7 or "Lucky-LTE?" According to Sammobile, there have been reports saying that Galaxy S7 will come with a dual-camera setup. This may not really be a breakthrough in technology because HTC has already attempted to push the dual-camera setup with HTC One M8, but Samsung believes they have come up with an even better code to that can do a much better implementation of the dual-camera technology in Galaxy S7. Aside from that, Galaxy S7 is also rumored to have a 5.7-inch display which is big bump from 5.1-inch display of the previous release.
It is too early to tell how different the S7 would be from the current flagships, but with these reports, people can tell that Samsung is definitely on to something.
