Mark your calendars, set your alarm, and save the date! On Monday, Sept. 21, Patty Williams, a.k.a. Crazy Patty, will be returning on CBS' "The Young and the Restless," Soap Shows reported.
It has been three years since fans have seen Crazy Patty on the show. Last we heard, she's been locked up in Fairview Sanitarium since 2012. She has put her time in the institution to good use, learning the ways of a "normal" person while honing her scheming skills. Now, the kooky character is said to be plotting her escape, and planning to turn Genoa City upside down.
Stacy Haiduk will reprise her role as the criminally insane character, and the actress is beyond elated. In her recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, she expressed her excitement, "I was with my daughter in New York and I got the email from my agent. I responded right away with 'Yay!' followed by 20 exclamation points. I was thrilled. I knew that playing Patty is going to be fun. It always is."
As to what is in store for Patty, the actress had this to say: "There are really no limits on what you can do with Patty. It really depends on the mood. Is she in a good place or a bad mood? She's very unpredictable, but she never intends to hurt anyone. In the past, she's been manipulated by the wrong people. It will be interesting to see if that happens again."
Fans can only expect shocking twists now that Patty is finally back in town, which will no doubt put them on their toes for the whole season. Don't miss her crazy comeback starting Sept. 21.
"The Young and The Restless" airs weekdays on CBS.
