There is still a big fuzz after the huge shocking breakup of Kirk DeWindt and Carly Waddell in the season finale of "Bachelor in Paradise." But it seems like there is more to that show. Carly has now spoken up with the real reason why she got dumped and that is becasue of another girl.
According to reports, the night that Kirk dumped Carly, she was so blindsided of what's going to happen. It left her and the fans watching at home shocked on the turn of events as for the night just before their breakup the then couple were just talking about their future together, marriage and having a family of their own. The whole Bachelor Nation hated Kirk for what he did to Carly.
According to Celebrity Laundry, Carly confronted Kirk about dumping her during "After Paradise." He then apologized and asked for her forgiveness. It seems like he was sincere with this gestures but a lot of fans were not convinced and still could not believe how he could just dumped Carly and fall out of love in such a quick snap, in just a night.
Wetpaint reported that two months after their break up, Carly looks like she has already moved on and now ready to talk about what happened. The 29-year-old Nashville gal had an exclusive interview with former Bachelor star, Ali Fedotowsky. Carly revealed on Ali's blog, AliLuvs that she and Kirk were finally able to talk in Paradise and was able to discuss about his "former girlfriend."
Carly said, "Kirk actually had an ex at home that he couldn't get out of his head...so he went back to pursue what he had left at home. He said the more the weeks went on...the more he felt like he was stepping backwards to her...instead of forwards with me." She also added, "It hurt hearing that, but gave me a giant sense of closure. And I knew that he was at least listening to his heart...and that's what we should all strive to do. I didn't bring this up on After Paradise because I didn't want to make it about a 3rd party member, and I wanted him to bring it up first and foremost...which he didn't. I'm not sure about the status of that relationship."
Apparently, Kirk just came from a failed relationship back home and no matter how strong the connection he has with Carly is, that is not enough for him to totally get over his ex-girlfriend.
On the lighter note, Carly already forgave Kirk for what he did. She was asked on the same interview, "Do you forgive him?" "Yes. I do. I loved him. That's what you do when you love someone. He will forever be in my heart," she answered.
