Real Estate Trends: Reasons to Move to Reno, the Biggest Little City in the World

Reno has changed much for many decades and recently, there have been many reasons why moving to Reno is the best choice to make.

Reno is known as the biggest "Little City" in the world. This strategic place has much to offer. According to Reno's Official Website, "With a population of over 225,000, Reno is the largest city in Northern Nevada." It is located in the southern part of Washoe County, nestled on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in an area called the Truckee Meadows as further reported by reno.gov.

The recent economic boom, turned Reno into a technology hub. It has attracted major companies such as Apple, Amazon and even Tesla. It does not only attract companies, but it has attracted the masses and real estate buyers as well.

Why do people choose Reno over the other cities? One reason is the distinct Riverwalk District attraction known as the 50 South Virginia. It was built in the early 1930's. According to a previous post by Zillow, "The place is being repurposed into a fresh and compelling shopping center featuring a host of specialty shops, including an old fashion barber, a juice bar and a chocolatier."

Another reason why it's the best place to live is the strategic location of homes. Zillow reported that "Reno offers a good view of the sky for sunsets, which are some of the most spectacular, seeing the sun drifts down over the Sierras."

Not only are the home views stunning, the surrounding sites are even better. Living in Reno provides direct access to the Lunar Crater Field or the hieroglyphics at Lagomarsino Canyon. Other recreational sites are the Ultimate Rush Park, BaseCamp, or the Wingfield Park.

Another reason why Reno is the best option to make is that living in Reno is not costly. According to a past report by Zillow, "Reno is about to explode because people are discovering it's not just a low-rent Vegas wannabe, but it's a university town with arts, culture and more outdoor activities available than most people have time to try."
