Now that Patrick Dempsey's Derek Shepherd is gone, a lot of fans are wondering if Sandra Oh's Cristina Yang will return in "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12.
According to the Inquisitr, Cristina Yang has a huge possibility of returning to the show to help Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) move on with her life.
Oh spoke in an earlier interview revealing that she is not closing any doors about coming back to the show. She said that she and creator Shonda Rhimes talked about her coming back in the past and she revealed that if the story needed her presence, she will be available to appear in the show. Oh said that as long as Rhimes would say that she should come back to the show, she will be happy to return.
Meanwhile, in a separate report, Inquisitr revealed that the first episode of Season 12 will focus on Meredith's new living arrangement with her sister Maggie (Kelly McCreary) and sister-in-law Amelia (Caterina Scorsone). It was also revealed that the first episode will tackle on the issue of bullying as the doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital work hard to save the lives of two young girls.
It was earlier reported that Dr. Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) will be doing everything she can to be the next Chief of Surgery. Entertainment Weekly reported that Catherine Avery (Debbie Allen) chose a candidate to be Bailey's competition. According to the report, Joey Lauren Adams was cast to go head to head with Bailey for the position.
According to Rhimes, the viewers can see how Bailey returns to her old "strict" self and fight for what she thinks she deserves. Rhimes said, "We're going to see what it means if she does or doesn't get it, and we're going to watch her struggle with growing up in that sense."
"Grey's Anatomy" will return on ABC on September 24.
