After Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) admits to Cameron (Eric Stonestreet) that he has lost his job in Season 6, tough times are coming their way as Cami goes out of their home to bring food on their table in the upcoming Season 7 of "Modern Family."
According to Ecumenical News, this situation will cause a lot of tension between the couple. However, it was also reported that Cami will make sure that he gives Mitch the time he needs to discover what he really wants to do with his life. With lots of free time on his hand, Mitch will reportedly try a series of odd jobs, including coaching Lily's (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) soccer team.
Christian Today reported that Mitch is uncomfortable now that Cami is the breadwinner of the family. This is because he is not used to being dependent on his husband, and he also reportedly sees himself as the responsible one. However, Cami seems to welcome the change and feels relieved as he initially thought that his husband was having an affair.
Ferguson revealed that in Season 7, his character Mitch will try to look for other ways to earn money, and he will do so by trying to discover his artistic side. However, he will realize that he cannot earn money from that.
Ferguson said that Mitch will start "picking up random jobs here and there." He added that he had a lot of fun doing different jobs in the upcoming season.
It was also earlier reported that Season 7 will focus on teen issues, and some of the child characters will be more mature. Haley (Sarah Hydland) will reportedly have her first adult relationship and Alex (Ariel Winter) will be leaving off for college.
"Modern Family" Season 7 will premiere on ABC on September 23.
