A former Denver radio host, David Mueller, has filed a lawsuit against the 'Bad Blood' hit maker, Taylor Swift. He claims that he lost his job and other prospective business opportunities after he was accused of inappropriately touching her during a photo session.
Filed in U.S. District court in Denver on Thursday, the lawsuit alleges Mueller or known on the radio as "Jackson," was falsely accused by one of Swift's body guards of grabbing her buttocks backstage at the Pepsi Center on June 2, 2013. The host was reportedly fired from his job two days later after the accusation.
According to the lawsuit, Mueller was backstage to meet and greet Swift. He and his girlfriend, Shannon Melcher had a small talk with the singer. After the brief conversation the couple posed with the singer. Swift then thanked them after the photo session and they left, The Denver Post reported.
Later, one of Swift's security team allegedly accused Miller of touching the singer inappropriately. Then the security members abused the radio host and his girlfriend and they were escorted out from the building.
After the alleged incident, he was fired from his job at KYGO radio station. The lawsuit said Mueller denies the allegation and noted that he had met other famous people, including Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera and Heidi Klum, he insisted there was no any related incidents.
Before Mueller was terminated, he worked for the radio station for more than 20 years with a base salary of $150,000. His contract also included performance bonuses, product endorsement fees and public appearance fees, The Denver Post added.
A statement from Swift's publicist on Saturday says Mueller's employer, KYGO Program Director Eddie Haskell was provided with evidence after the alleged incident and made its own decision on his job status, according to the Fox News.
