"Storage Wars" cast member Mark Balelo died Monday of an apparent suicide, three days after he was arrested on drug charges, TMZ reports. They cited sources saying Balelo was distraught after his arrest.
Balelo, 40, was found dead in his car, which was parked and running inside the garage of his auction house in Simi Valley, Calif. The cause of death is listed as asphyxia by inhalation of carbon monoxide and exhaust fumes, according to the medical examiner.
Balelo was arrested Saturday for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine. He was scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 19.
"We are deeply saddened by this tragedy and our thoughts are with Mark's family," A&E, the network that produced the T.V. show, said in a statement.
