Kate Middleton's Uncle Lowers Asking Price of Mansion to £4.4M

His royal connections don't seem to be working for him. Kate Middleton's uncle, Gary Goldsmith, is slashing half a million pounds off the price of his Ibiza mansion. The villa, known as "La Maison de Bang Bang," has been in the market for almost two years. From £4.9 million, the property is now down to £4.4 million (roughly $6.8 million), Mirror UK reported.

The Bang Bang mansion, as it is infamously called, has been associated with negative press. In 2009, Kate's uncle Gary was caught offering to supply cocaine and Brazilian prostitutes to undercover reporters at the said mansion.

Goldsmith has also gotten much flak from the royal family after he spilled details of Kate and Prince William's stay at the mansion before their wedding. As the paparazzis were able to snap pictures of Kate and her sister Pippa wearing white bikinis in the pool, their uncle went to the press to enjoy some of the spotlight as well. Goldsmith revealed intimate details of the couple's holiday, including how much Kate enjoyed getting mud baths, how Prince William learned to DJ at the villa's bar, and how the couple enjoyed playing backgammon in the game room.

Despite the controversies, the Bang Bang mansion's beauty cannot be denied. The stunning eight-acre villa is equipped with every luxury you can think of. Daily Mail details what £4.4 million will give you: an outdoor gym, 40 feet infinity pool, outside bar complete with a DJ booth, games tent, Jacuzzi, sauna, a tennis court, majestic bedrooms with en suites as huge as the bedrooms themselves, and a bathtub lined in gold.

Goldsmith is a self-made millionaire with businesses in IT and recruitment. He is the brother of Kate Middleton's mother Carole, thus making him great uncle of Kate's son, the future king of England.
