A Royal Order From Prince Charles: Only Female Bodyguards for 'Kate Middleton'

According to Radar Online, the royal family is constantly being flooded with plots against the crown and therefore it is understandable that they entrust their safety to the best of the best officers. Surprisingly, in the case of Kate Middleton, Prince Charles has one special order. According to Radar Online, all of Kate Middleton's guards should strictly be females only.

"From the start, when Kate became engaged, it was Charles who made the women-only stipulation, saying he didn't want her compromised in any way," Radar Online quotes what a source from Scotland Yard's royal protection unit has told the Sunday Express.

Based on Radar Online's report, it can be inferred that Prince Charles' fears that Middleton may be "compromised" may have sprung from Princess Di's, his ex-wife, alleged affair with one of her guards, Barry Mannakee. Princess Diana was reported to have been recorded talking about the said "affair" in a video taken by a former voice coach, "I was only happy when he was around I should never have played with fire and I got burnt." And then 8 months after Prince Charles was said to have insisted that Manakee be removed from service, Manakee died from a a motorcycle accident.

Things may seem to work pretty well for Kate Middleton and her female guards, who are said to be armed with block pistols all the time. On the other hand, according to Radar, Ken Wharfe, Diana's former bodyguard says, "I've heard that Prince Charles is more involved in who is being appointed. And if he asks for more women he will get more women." He also noted, "The trouble with Diana was she got on better with men. She did have a woman once but she didn't last long. You have to have a good chemistry with the person you're looking after."
