Game developer Rare Ltd. is gearing up to release in 2016 its upcoming video game "Sea of Thieves" for Xbox One and PC. It was said that the developer's Xbox game was described by Microsoft Executive Kudo Tsunoda as Rare's "best game" ever been made by the company. This statement came after Tsunoda has revealed additional details about the upcoming game through an interview with Xbox Magazine, a report from Gamespot stated on Monday.
"I think with Sea of Thieves, what you're really going to see as you find out more about the game is that it's also about allowing people to create their own gaming memories. It's about enabling people to create their own stories through limitless possibilities, and I think that's what Rare has always done a great job of historically - it is great at creating these super emotional memories and attachments that people have to games," Tsunoda said, as quoted via Gamesradar in an interview with OXM, lauding Rare's "Sea of Thieves" game.
"I think what you're gonna see in Sea of Thieves as we go forward and start talking more about the game is how [the studio is] enabling that kind of player-generated emotional and memory-driven stories that can happen within a game to happen within Sea of Thieves. And I think that's what Rare does well. That's what we're going to keep having them doing in the future. And Sea of Thieves is gonna be the best game that Rare has ever made," he continued.
WCCF Tech reports that the "Sea of Thieves" is indeed an immensely promising title.The game has beautiful visuals which were described to be a reminiscent of the "Monkey Island series" and similar to Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean" cartoon. It was said that the game will surely provide players an action-packed, imaginative world of adventure to explore.
The game will reportedly be available exclusively for Xbox. The company, however, has yet to announce the game's official release date, although it confirmed that it is within the 2016 time frame.
