The 67-year-old comedic actor is extremely private, but was spotted with his child at his Los Angeles home. The child was born in December, according to the New York Post.
Martin and his wife, Anne Stringfield, 41, welcomed a child, a rep confirmed to People.
Martin and Stringfield were together for three years before they married in July 2007 at his Los Angeles home. According to the Daily Mail, former Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey led the ceremony and Lorne Michaels, creator of "Saturday Night Live", was his best man. High-rollers such as Tom Hanks and Diane Keaton were also in attendance.
Martin was married to English actress Victoria Tennet between 1986 to 1994. Stringfield, a writer at The New Yorker Magazine, inspired Martin to write his autobiography, "Born Standing Up," according to The Mail.
"I played fathers so many times, it's like being one," Martin said in an interview with Los Angeles Times in 2003, while promoting "Cheaper by the Dozen." "I've had children of every age. And like I say, I get to do everything but the dirty work."
Martin isn't shy though from showing his other talents, including playing the banjo. In 2010, he created a $50,000 prize named for excellence in banjo and bluegrass, which awards players the cash prize and a bronze Eric Fischl sculpture with the opportunity to perform on the "Late Show With David Letterman." Last year's winner was Mark Johnson.
Martin has performed in numerous movies, playing not just a funny man but an engaging performer. Including "Father of the Bride," "The Pink Panther," and "It's Complicated." He occasionally makes a special appearance on "Saturday Night Live", which frequently brings in high ratings. He's already guest hosted the show 15 times.
