Christopher Meloni Net Worth: Former "Law and Order: SVU" Star Finally Sells Home

Former "Law and Order:SVU" star Chris Meloni was finally able to sell his New York City apartment. According to a report from Variety, it took three years on the market and a discount of about $3 million to finally consummate a sale.

The NY apartment is located at The Park Imperial on West 56th Street. Meloni, with his wife Sherman Williams had bought the home back in June 2005 for $5.45 million. The apartment measures 2,977 feet and has three bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. After several upgrades and renovations, the home was featured in Architectural Digest in 2008. They then placed the apartment in March 2012 for $12 million.

The unit is on the 60th floor and has a monthly maintenance charge worth $8,355. It has picturesque views of Central Park but would have this luxury removed by the construction of 220 Central Park South, the "billionaire bunker".

Amongst its many amenities are a bedroom sized central foyer and a 450 square foot living area featuring floor to ceiling windows. There is also a multi-purpose den that can be used either as a living room or another dining area. The kitchen has sapele finishing on cherry wood paneling, slab stone counters and high grade stainless steel appliances. The bedrooms are on the west end of the unit while the master's bedroom is on the eastern side of the unit.

Christopher Meloni is best known as Detective Elliot Stabler on the gripping cop drama series "Law and Order: Special Victims Unit". He left the show after 12 years and has played other roles both in television and on the movie screen. He earned $395,000 per show on the series. His current net worth, as estimated by Celebrity Net Worth, is said to be near $30 million.
