"Suits" Season 5 Episode 11 titled, "Blowback" will see the continuation of events from the first six episodes of the USA Network legal drama. In an interview with Yahoo! TV, showrunner Aaron Korsh admitted to planning on doing a time jump when the show returns for season 5B.
While a time jump may be an exciting thing to see on the show, Korsh revealed that the writers and producers eventually agreed on continuing the show from the events of the first half of the season. Mike (Patrick J. Adams) was arrested for fraud and this left many fans wondering how his arrest will affect everyone else in the firm.
"Harvey and Jessica did not envision Mike getting arrested as they're speaking. So Mike's arrest is definitely gonna change the trajectory of what would've happened had Mike not been arrested, had they just moved on," said Korsh.
Meanwhile, the showrunner also acknowledged the fact that many fans and viewers are intrigued as to who turned Mike in. Some reports claimed that the priest may have been the one who turned Mike in to the authorities, while others think Donna (Sarah Rafferty) was responsible for the arrest.
While this will definitely keep fans guessing until "Suits" Season 5 returns on Jan. 2016, the showrunner also revealed in a separate interview with TV Guide (via Carter Matt) that Harvey (Gabriel Macht) will feel the impact of Mike's arrest. Harvey resigned from the firm, but now that the firm has lost Mike, will Harvey take his resignation back?
"Everything is going to be affected by this thing that no one saw coming. We will find out what will happen to the six of them," he said.
"Suits" Season 5 Episode 11 premieres on Jan. 2016.
