HBO's 'Game of Thrones' is a total hit to young-adult audiences because of its intricate storyline and the never-ending plot twists and character kills. Well, there is also a parade of breasts, blood, and gore. Who can forget the full frontal nudity by one of the stars right off the bat of the first season? But it seems that one of the leading stars of the hit series has had enough of showing her 'goods' to the general viewing public.
Fox News reported that Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series, have said to the Daily Mail that she can't stand the nudity anymore.
"I'm British, so I cringe [at] that sort of thing anyway--I can't stand it," said Clarke. "Most sex scenes you see in films or on the TV are gratuitous and they are usually just to attract an audience," the actress added.
Game of Thrones star Oona Chaplin told the Telegraph about two years ago that, "One of the girls in the show who got her kit off the most in the first couple of seasons, now doesn't at all, because she said, 'I want to be known for my acting not for my breasts.' " There are some speculations that the girl she was talking about was Emilia Clarke, but Chaplin still refuses to give the name of her co-star who rebels against nudity.
It is noticeable that viewers have been getting to see less and less of Daenerys' body after season two. However, a lot of GoT fans are still in full support of the dragon mistress.
The next season is on its way and the fans just can't hide their anticipations. Emilia Clarke teases about her character for the newest season during her interview with Los Angeles Times saying, "It's just go, go, go, go. Shocking moment to shocking moment. Epic moment to epic moment. It's mental; it's epic. And definitely Dany's a part of it," said Clarke.
