After about a year or so of dating, Christina Milian and Lil Wayne have called it quits.
Rumors about their dating started to make rounds in July last year. Their romantic relationship was officially confirmed just this May, according to People. "There's nothing better than that feeling of that new chemistry, when you're so into someone you really could care less about what anybody else has to think," Christina said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in May.
"I feel so inspired by the relationship that I'm in. It's like that careless, hopeless-romantic love where it's like, 'Oh my gosh, I will do anything for you,' it's just incredible," the star added.
Gossip Cop said the rapper broke up with the singer-actress in late August, apparently after their Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival performance together. And the reason? Not dramatic.
According to Perez Hilton, a source close to the now ex-couple said, "They've broken up a few times before. She's got so much going on with Grandfathered, her E! and Hulu shows, and working on her album with Wayne. It doesn't help that Wayne is all over the place too. They both have insane lives and schedules."
While they have ended their romance, their break-up is said to be amicable and they remain friends after all. In fact, the two attended Alexander Wang's New York Fashion Week together last Saturday, Sept. 12. A source reportedly told People, "She's in New York right now for Fashion Week, having fun and leaning on her girlfriends."
The 33 years old reality star has her documentary soap on E! "Christina Milian Turned Up." She also stars on "Grandfathered," a new Fox sitcom which will premiere later in September.
She was married to rapper-producer The-Dream and the two have a 5-year-old daughter, Violet Madison. They were divorced after 10 months of marriage.
