Warning: Unveiling bits of last season's story and upcoming new season's spoilers will be revealed.
CBS comedy sitcom, "The Big Bang Theory" is set to premiere on Sept. 21 and one of the biggest cliffhanger from the finale episode of season 8 was when Sheldon (Jim Parsons) was holding on to a ring after Amy (Mayim Bialik) broke up with him via Skype. Along with a lot of skepticism that the ring is for a supposed "proposal" of Sheldon to Amy or maybe it was for something else. An interview with Showrunner Steve Molaro to THR reveals what the ring is for and if Sheldon and Amy will have a reconciliation next season.
Many got stuck about the drift that happened between Sheldon and Amy but the biggest question was about "the ring." What was Sheldon going to do with it? It was revealed in the interview of THR that Sheldon was really about to propose to Amy and that no one knows anything about the to-be proposal "except the Gollum statue." Details of the ring will be discuss on the premiere episode and the premiere episode will also explore the current "mindset" of Sheldon for the moment.
So sad that Amy didn't knew about the proposal that Sheldon plans! it was also revealed that the two will be parting ways and Amy will be heading on a single life now and Molaro said that, "This is all new to her and this is as difficult for her as it is for him. He's not making it any easier, so I think they are both feeling their way through this and going through and experiencing feelings and emotions that I don't even think they were expecting."
But even if Amy lives off a single life, Sheldon wasn't able to cope with it easily. Molaro said that "He is a man of science and he's been presented with a problem that he can't just think of a solution for. And it's very frustrating. He doesn't immediately turn to anyone for support; instead, he is going to pursue Amy."
And absolutely, Sheldon will try to win her lady back and for this the showrunner said that "He's not good at leaving her alone. The one thing she asked for was a little bit of time to think and he's not going to give that to her."
