Demi Lovato is reported to have dropped hints about being bisexual with the lyrics of her hit song "Cool For The Summer." The singer recently made an appearance on England's "Alan Carr: Chatty Man" show where she did not hesitate opening up about her sexuality.
According to E! Online, when she was asked by Carr if the lyrics "Tell me what you want, what you like, it's ok / I'm a little curious, too" and "Got a taste for the cherry. I just need to take a bite" was about being a lesbian, her response was, "I'm not confirming and I'm definitely not denying. All of my songs are based off of personal experiences. I don't think there's anything wrong with experimentation at all."
Then Carr, who is openly gay, jokingly told Lovato that he experimented once and it stuck. To the surprise of the crowd who cheered at her response, Lovato said "Hey, I didn't say it didn't stick either."
At the show, Lovato also said, "If a very popular male artist in one of his songs came out and said, 'I'm experimenting', if a guy sang this song that was straight, it would be such an uproar. But there's a confidence to a man that would say, 'I've experimented with a man,' and not care. I actually find that more attractive than saying, 'No, no, no, that's so wrong!'"
Whatever her sexual preference may turn out to be, we sure can respect that. On the other hand, according to US Magazine, 23-year-old Demi Lovato is currently in a relationship with 35-year-old actor Wilmer Valderrama who is known to play the character "Fez" in the comedy series "That 70's Show" and "Carlos Madrigal" in the TV series "From Dusk Till Dawn." Lovato and Valderrama have been dating since 2010.
