Rapper Jim Jones has been arrested for disorderly conduct after becoming involved in a confrontation with a traffic cop outside his New Jersey home.
Police told NorthJersey.com that an officer had questioned Jones about a ticketed car parked on a snowy street since February 8. They said he agreed to move it and pay a fee. Jim Jones was then questioned by police about two outstanding warrants given for $193 worth of unpaid road citations.
One warrant had been issued in 2011 over an unpaid $43 ticket given for failure to remove snow from a sidewalk, while the other one, worth $150, was issued in 2010 and was given for failing to yield to an emergency vehicle, the website said. Police said the officer began to arrest Jones, who then became belligerent.
Jim Jones, 37, is a former recurring star of VH1 reality show "Love & Hip Hop" and member of rap group The Diplomats.. Jones, whose real name is Joseph G. Jones, was arrested on the morning of February 13 in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, where he lives.
He was booked in a local jail and released after posting bail. He is due in court on February 27 to face police charges of disorderly conduct and obstruction.
