‘Need for Speed’ 2015 News: EA Offers Reboot For PS4/Xbox One Closed Beta

A new report has surfaced on Tuesday, saying that Electronic Arts' upcoming game, "Need for Speed," will be holding a closed beta for PS4 and Xbox One. The news comes after a beta page reportedly appeared on the game's official website, where gamers can actually sign up.

However, both avid fans and die-hard gamers were quick to observe that the beta won't be rolled out on the PC, confirming earlier reports that it will remain exclusive as of the moment to the consoles, a report from Gamespot said.

It was said the Ghost Games, developer of the "Need for Speed," has created the closed beta on purpose, citing that it will eventually help the game studio "perform a number of technical tests that will help the team" before the game is launched.

The developer said that players who plan to try the beta will have to voluntarily agree on the agreement. The agreement describes the terms set forth by Electronic Arts as it offers players a privilege to play a pre-release of the game via an account that will be given to them as part of the beta program.

"You acknowledge that by participating in the Beta Program, and subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, EA is providing you the Beta Materials (which constitutes the sole and sufficient consideration for this Agreement), and that EA has not made any other express or implied promises regarding any other form of consideration for your participation in the Beta Program. You agree that no compensation will be owed to you for your participation in the Beta Program. You represent and warrant that you are entering into this Agreement on a completely voluntary basis with no expectation of any form of compensation whatsoever," reads an excerpt from game's Beta Agreement.

Trusted Reviews reports that the game's beta registration will end on Friday, Sept. 25. Those lucky chosen players will be notified through an email, and essential details will be given to them, including instructions on how they will be able to install and play the game. It was also said that the beta program will require an Internet connection in order to play.

Meanwhile, the developer is reportedly planning to release tons of DLC after the game launch slated on November 3 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
