From sobbing at the VMAs to sporting a new hair to shotgunning beers, Justin Bieber seems all set to try anything new.
Over the weekend, the 21-year-old Canadian singer tried his luck at proving that he is all grown by participating in a beer-shotgunning contest in Las Vegas. Unfortunately for Bieber, who was looking casual in a t-shirt under a fedora hat-- he lost. He later uploaded a video of his defeat on his Instagram account, showing that he graciously accepted his loss by throwing his arms in the air like a good sport.
His contender was Shots co-founder Sam Shahidi, to whom he came second while they were hanging out at a pool party before the Floyd Mayweather, Jr. fight started. According to Los Angeles Times, he lost by a minimum of three seconds.
Bieber puts the blame on higher education and the other college experiences, such as beer shotgunning contests and frat parties, saying he had never experienced any of these because of his music career.
Justin Bieber captioned his Instagram post, "I lost but I didn't go to college." In a way he was right: if he did, he would have known that chugging the beer from a can sideways was the wrong way to do it. He was not taking advantage of the factors like air pressure and gravity, after all what is the point of drinking the beer from a hole at the side of the beer can? Shahadi, on the other hand, was a UCLA alumnus.
On the other hand, according to US Magazine, Beibs opened up to The Kyle and Jackie O Show about his relationship status. He said, "I haven't been in a relationship for a while now. I'm chilling and just hanging out. Just being by myself. I am a relationship type of guy, I love to be in love and I love cuddling and I love all of that kind of stuff but I got my heart broken and so I'm just going to let that heal up."
Then he added jokingly, "I had a few beers, guys, maybe I'm talking too openly?"
