According to Microsoft's Mike Ybarra, as cited in an article on Gamespot, players can expect a new level of speed and responsiveness. Come November, the New Xbox One Experience update will definitely make system functionality a lot faster. That's according to Mike Ybarra, the Xbox engineering boss, who said more about the forthcoming update in an appearance on the Major Nelson Radio's latest episode.
During the podcast, he talked about Windows 10's forthcoming integration with Xbox One, which brings the OS to Xbox One. This is called OneCore. Moreover, Mr Ybarra said in a statement that, "Windows 10 for desktop PCs has incredible momentum right now." He explained further that "We're going to bring all of that efficiency to Xbox One, "as cited in the same article on Gamespot.
As cited in an article on International Business Times, Mr Ybarra is quoted to have sain in an interview with programming director for Xbox Live. "Fans have told us they want to get into parties faster, they want to see what their friends are doing faster," he further elucidated. "All of that we are going to enable, with some new features, plus Windows 10 is allowing us to bring a new level of speed and responsiveness to customers," he proudly said.
Ybarra promises the update will actually provide players major speed boosts. "We see data from 360, from Xbox One today and then of course from the New Xbox Experience and we know from general use what people do, their common tasks," he said. "And it's our goal, in some cases we're 50 percent faster and easier, and that's a real good metric for us."
As reported on Digital Trends, Xbox One owners will be able to play more than 100 supported Xbox 360 titles after installing November's update by means of a new backward compatibility feature. He notes that the lineup of the platform of supported legacy games will expand "with hundreds more in the months to come," he added.
Other cool features are a redesigned Store and an App Channels, allowing players to search through new categories such as Staff Picks, New Releases, Top played, Top rated, Coming Soon and Recommendations.
