Derick Brassard, the New York Rangers center since 2013, appears to be permanently settling in New York as he recently purchased a new condo in Tribeca for $4.1 million. The report was based from the property records filed in New York on Tuesday.
According to The Real Deal, the condominium measures 1,670 square feet and features two bedrooms.
Curbed reports that the New York apartment has a private balcony, a chef's kitchen, 14-foot ceilings and heated floors in the bathroom. Sweeping views of the iconic Empire State Building can also be enjoyed from the sixth-floor condo.
Just like other residents in the posh Tribeca condominium, Brassard can enjoy other amenities such as a sun deck, fitness center and heated pool. Brassard's unit was described as "only one of its kind."
Based from the pictures on Curbed, the condo unit features huge and plush cushions and a big picture on the wall of what appears to be Brooklyn Bridge with its beautiful lights at night in the living room. One bedroom has a minimalist design and dark walls and furnishings, while the other one has contrastingly white walls.
According to Celebrities Money, Derick Brassard's salary as of 2015 is $7 million, and he reportedly has a net worth of $11.4 million. The 27-year-old ice hockey player has been active in the sport since 2003 and has played in four leagues so far throughout his career. He was drafted by Columbus Blue Jackets back in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
Brassard has also won numerous awards throughout his career since 2003. These include NHL Rookie of the Month, U18 WJC Silver Medal, QMJHL Rookie of the Year, QMJHL Offensive Rookie of the Year and many more.
