Demi Lovato fueled rumors about her sexuality during her recent appearance on the British TV show "Alan Carr: Chatty Man."
While promoting her single "Cool for the Summer," Carr asked Lovato about particular lines from her track. The host inquired if the lines "got a taste for the cherry" and "I'm a little curious too" was about being a bisexual. The former Disney star only gave a hint and said that she's not answering the question directly, UsWeekly reports.
"I am not confirming and I'm definitely not denying," Lovato said. "All of my songs are based off of personal experiences. I don't think there's anything wrong with experimentation at all."
Carr, who is gay, responded that he "experimented once and it stuck." "Hey, I didn't say it didn't stick either," Lovato retorted.
Her interview triggered speculations that Lovato is bisexual. However, she is not the first celebrity who insinuated on the sensitive gender issue. "Wrecking Ball" singer Miley Cyrus admitted to Time Magazine in June that she dated both men and women. She said that a man makes her feel an overly macho energy, while when she's with a woman, she feels the urge to protect her, E! News reports.
Aside from Lovato and Cyrus, "Twilight" actress, Kristen Stewart publicly claimed that she belongs to the LGBT community after flaunting her relationship with her personal assistant, Alicia Cargile. Stewart's mother, Jules Stewart, also reportedly confirmed their relationship in an interview and said that she has no problem with her daughter dating another girl. Jules claimed, "I accept my daughter loves women and men," Advocate reports.
Meanwhile, about her common friends Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez, Demi recently stated that she wishes the "Jealous" singer happiness. During the interview with Capital FM on Sunday, she claimed that she has no opinion about Jonas and Gomez getting back together. However, she said she just wants Selena to be happy.
