There will be ringing bells despite the surrounding action in "Chicago PD" Season 3, which will return at the end of the month.
According to Vine Report, the official synopsis of the show revealed that the group will be pursuing one of Chicago's most wanted drug pushers Derek Keyes, who will be played by guest star Bokeem Woodbine.
It was earlier reported that Lindsay (Sophia Bush) will be in the brink of depression after her failures in Season 2. According to the report, Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) will try to talk her about it. In the sneak peek for Season 3, Halstead can be seen being abducted and tortured. The kidnappers ordered the force to send alone a female officer, and Lindsay agrees to try to save Halstead from his captors. The promotional video hints more action-packed scenes in the first episode of season 3.
Meanwhile, Roman (Brian Geraghty) talks to Burgess (Marina Squerciati) about Ruzek's (Patrick Flueger) marriage proposal. Executive producer Matt Olmstead revealed that the couple will be working on the wedding.
Olmstead said, "What Burgess begins to realize is ... as opposed to really wanting to get married, he's getting a buzz off being engaged. People buy you drinks, you get the attention, but when it comes to actually picking out the font for the save-the-date cards, he's not that interested."
The show will also be adding a new cast member as "Ray Donovan" star Dash Mihok has been confirmed as a guest star in Season 3. According to Entertainment Weekly, Mihok will be playing the role of a distressed father, whose daughter was kidnapped. It was reported that he will resort to desperate measures for the police to take him seriously, and this includes taking a police hostage in the station.
"Chicago PD" will return on September 30.
