It could be a relief to the fans of NBA 2K16 that the "cheese" might finally be gone. The developers have made many exciting tweaks with the new NBA 2K16, not to mention that the defense of the AI has greatly improved, the controls of the game was slightly remapped, among other adjustments made to the game. The developer, Visual Concept, has said that there are about 5,000 changes, according to IGN.
Part of those changes in NBA 2K16 is the new and improved MyCareer mode. With this mode, the gamer's character starts off in high school. Then after playing a few varsity games, it will let the gamer choose which college to attend. There are 10 fully licensed schools to choose from and the ones shown in the demonstration for the MyCareer mode are University of Texas and the University of Arizona. Furthermore, the way the gamer plays during the collegiate period will determine where he will end up in the NBA.
Once drafted in the NBA, there will be 82 games for the regular season just like it is in real life. According to IGN, there will be the same number of days off between the games in which the gamer will be given options on how to spend them. It was said that there will be rewards depending on what option was chosen. Some of the options will include playing mini-games that will boost your character's attributes, building connections with popular NBA players or spend it on endorsements and sponsorships that allow the player to earn in game currency and signature shoes.
Lastly, in NBA 2K16, the will be a main hub called MyCourt in which the player can see details of game stats, watch 2KTV or upgrade the game character. MyCourt is fully customizable from the walls to the balls. The player can also pimp it up by displaying trophies, signature shoes or items collected during the character's career.
Lest to forget, this is an online game that allows users to have private matches with friends or online matches with other players.
