DWTS Season 21 Updates: Steve Irwin's Daughter Bindi Pays Dancing Tribute To Late Dad

She maybe young at 17, but she's already showing there's more to see of her other than Steve Irwin's daughter.

According to a recap of the show featured on ew.com, Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough partnered beautifully on the dance floor during the premier of "Dancing With The Stars" for season 21, which aired about two days ago. The wildlife conservationist and eldest offspring of the late "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin showed off her dancing skills alongside veteran champion Derek Hough to the tune of "Crocodile Rock".

Judges Julianne Hough (also a DWTS 2-time Mirrorball champion) gave rave reviews of the duo's performance saying, "It was the best performance of the night" as well as Bruno Tonioli's ""You really are the wonder from Down Under." The pair also received 24 out 30 points for their performance, and tied with Backstreet Boys' singer Nick Carter and partner Sharna Burgess for first place on opening night.

As for Bindi Irwin, she took to social media to express her gratitude for the dancing opportunity saying, "This experience. I am grateful beyond words for tonight. Thank you all and especially my life coach & dance partner." - 11:38 AM - 15 Sep 2015. She also dedicated her performance on the show to her late father, Steve Irwin, who passed away from a stingray barb accident when Bindi was only eight years old, according to the same article.

As for the other celebrity dancers, Reality TV actress Kim Zolciak-Biermann and partner Tony Dovolani placed bottom on the list, garnering 12 points for their salsa number, as reported in another article on edition.cnn.com. Married celebrity couple Alexa and Carlos PenaVega also had their moment on the show, as being the first couple to compete against each other. Fifteen-year old Vine star Hayes Grier also showcased his own moves during the season premier. More on the story here.
