ABC's "Castle" Season 8 is coming soon and there will be significant changes coming to the show as one of the stars try to deal with a past that has now caught up to haunt them all.
In less than a week, "Castle" will air the premiere episode of its eighth season and based from "Castle" spoilers, there will be major changes coming. According to Christian Post, the first thing that fans will notice in the season opener is that Kate Beckett will have a new role in the show. She will still be a cop but she will have new duties to fulfill. Instead of prowling the streets as a detective, she will now take over the captain's office, requiring her to stay in the precinct full time. This will allow Rick Castle to pursue cases that have bizarre twists and offer "fun" to him and his wife.
However, the new precinct captain will be tested immediately as she is set to disappear in the pilot episode of "Castle" Season 8. It will later be revealed in the second episode that Beckett will be on the run after receiving information from someone in her past. It was mentioned that a group of mercenaries are going after her and Castle is desperate to find his wife so he goes on the hunt for her.
Meanwhile, TV Line said the new season of "Castle" will feature a new mainstay cast. Toks Olagunduye will play Haley Shipton who is another investigator like Castle. She is a former officer of the famed Scotland Yard and she will be playing a key part in the first two episodes of Season 8. The show's producers also mentioned that the new season will feature less complicated cases for Castle and Beckett as they plan to delve deeper into the lives of the characters in "Castle."
