'Dancing with the Stars' Season 21 Premiere News, Spoilers: Celebrities Who Hit Rock Bottom [Video]

"Dancing with the Stars" season 21 premiere was a bit awkward as 5 of the celebrities failed the scoring.

As per Fox News, Kim Zolciak got a low score of 12 out of 30 but she still managed to keep her chin up. She then told the reporters that she's still proud of herself amidst the outcome.

"I'm really proud of me. I put the time in and then to get out there on the dance floor is a lot. It's one thing to have a reality show and just be yourself and get paid to do it, it's another thing to walk out onstage with millions of viewers and try to shake your bum bum." She then added: "Where can I go from here? Only up!"

Zolciak's partner Dovolani then gave her a comforting shrug stating:

"The judges were very hard on you and they put in expectations that were unrealistic. She was completely out of her comfort zone."

Aside from Zolciak, Epinoza and Smirnoff had their fair share of critics as well. They did however managed to get a 15 score. He then stated: "I had a lot of fun, then adding: It's the first show. Hopefully we have enough weeks to win the judges over."

One of the judges, Julianne Hough, was quite shocked on how low the scores for the premiere were.

"We haven't gone that low in a couple of seasons. It kind of brought me back to season 3, season 4 when there was so much room to grow, where the scores were a bit lower and the talent wasn't necessarily front runners getting 9s and stuff. We will see a lot of growth, a lot of surprises this season, maybe a dark horse coming through the middle. We have a great cast. They are more about the characters and the dancing will come."

Though some of the stars didn't manage to shine that night, Nick Carter was applauded by the judges as he gracefully aced his performance. [CNN] Carter and his partner Sharna Burgess both danced cha cha which got them a score of 24 out of 30 points. Carter and Bindi Irwin are both tied on first place with 24 points each.
