‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Season 12 Finale Recap: Who Won America's Favorite Dancer Title?

The biggest question of "So You Think You Can Dance" season 12 is who won in the finale episode? While our eyes have been amazed with enthralling, chasing, emotional, beat-pumping, riveting performances, who could have walked away with the $250,000, a chance to dance in J. Lo's show in Vegas and win the coveted title of America's Favorite Dancer? The winner of last Monday's finale is none other than the 19-year-old tap dancer from Miami, Gaby Diaz.

Last Monday, SYTYCD was opened up by judges Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo and host Cat Deeley. The judges brought back the wonderful performances they favorited performances of the season. One of the most creative one so far is the "Ghost Dance" favorited by Derulo which is Team Street's "Ghost Light" routine and the awe-stunning ballet performance of Herman Cornejo. And who could ever forget the performance of Jenna Dewan Tatum and the former-contestant turned choreographer and now Creative Emmy Awards winner Travis Wall in the two-hour episode? Congrats to that.

Among all the standing ovation worthy performances, Eonline reports the last four dancers left standing for the title were Virgil Gadson, Hailee Payne, Jaja Vankova, and Gaby Diaz. The first of the four who got eliminated was Hailee Payne from team Stage then next was Virgil Gadson of Team Street. The final two dancers left was Jaja Vankova being the runner-up and Gaby Diaz winning the title.
