The Jungle Book live-action teaser trailer is officially out. It starts with a view of the Jungle and our beloved Mowgli and brings some glimpse of the wild animals featured in Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. But the most spine-chilling feature of the clip is the silken-voice of Scarlett Johansson narrating in the background as the snake Kaa, ""Are you alone out here?"
Before the official Jungle Book teaser was released, Disney posted a 6-second teaser through Vine. It did not show much, but that clip of a boy in a dark and gloomy jungle was enough to tell us that Disney was working on a live-action remake of the 1967 Disney cartoon that is based on the book of the same title written by Rudyard Kipling.
As Scarlett Johansson narrates throughout the 2-minute clip as the sinister Kaa, the clip features a mix of breathtaking views of stunning landscapes and CGI of animals, artistically combined to give spectators a little taste of the action-packed adventure Mowgli will have with his animal friends Bagheera the panther and Baloo the bear. Moreover, if viewers listen closely towards the end of the teaser, they would be able to quickly identify what tune is being whistled as the clip shows the boy Mowgli sitting on Baloo's belly as the bear swims on his back down the river.
"The Jungle Book" will feature newcomer Neel Sethi as Mowgli and the voice talents of veteran actors Christopher Walken (King Louie), Bill Murray (Baloo), Ben Kingsley (Bagheera), Giancarlo Esposito (Akela) and Idris Elba (Shere Khan) among others. The Jungle Book is about the epic story of man-cub Mowgli who grew up in the jungle in the company of wolves. He is put in peril by Shere Khan, with his hatred for humans, who has sworn to eliminate anything he sees as a threat.
The movie will hit theaters on April 15, 2016.
