The TV that will feature the interviews with the women who have accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault will be aired in the US on Thursday night. The one-hour special will be titled "Cosby: The Women Speak", according to BBC. There will be more than twelve women, both new and past accusers, to appear including actress Louisa Moritz, publicist Joan Tarshis and model Beverly Johnson. The show will also touch on Cosby's way to fame amidst the allegations.
According to BBC, the first allegation came from two women who publicly accused the comedian of sexually assaulting them while they were unconscious. It was reported that one of the women, Andrea Constand, filed a case but it was settled out of court in November 2006.
In another news a source has said, "The accusations saw little action until last year, when comedian Hannibal Buress brought them up in a stand-up bit, shining a new light on the allegations and causing more women to speak out." A footage of the live set is reported to have been posted online. He was called a rapist by Buress in the clip.
Bill Cosby is said to have assaulted more than 40 women since the 1960s. Bill Cosby has always denied these accusations and has never been charged up to now because the accusations made against Cosby is said to be outside the statute of limitations.
In the meantime, Judy Huth has filed a civil case against Cosby for sexually abusing her when she was 15. As usual, the comedian has denied her accusations but he will be questioned under oath in October. According to BBC, Huth's case can proceed in civil court because the alleged abuse happened when she was a minor.
