The cast of "NCIS: Los Angeles" revealed some important details about Season 7 before its scheduled premiere this month.
In an interview with Zap2it, Eric Christian Olsen, who plays Deek, revealed that in Season 7, the viewers will finally meet Deek's mother, and he will be introducing her to Kensi (Daniela Ruah).
Olsen also revealed that there will be big obstacles that the team will face in the new season. Olsen said that his character will face challenges not just revolving around his job but also in his personal life.
Olsen confirmed that the show will also feature an "NCIS" crossover, as Michael Weatherly will be playing his role as Anthony DiNozzo in Season 7. Olsen said that he, Anthony and Kensi will be hunting down a lost suspect, and the three of them will be fighting crime together.
Olsen feels excited for the upcoming season and revealed that it is one of his favorite seasons so far. As of writing, he said that the show has only shot seven episodes, but it was reported that the show has no signs of slowing down.
Meanwhile, Christian Today reports that Nell (Renee Felice Smith) and Eric (Barrett Foa) will also be in action in the upcoming season. Smith revealed that she will be having a "karate kid" moment in Season 7, while Foa said that he will be learning to fire a gun with the help of Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) as well as discover how it is to be an outfield agent.
Showrunner Shane Brennan said that with the new tasks at hand, Nell and Eric's relationship will grow in Season 7, and they may even be entering a new kind of relationship. Producer R. Scott Gemmill added that the characters will definitely take their relationship to the next level and will develop through the season.
"NCIS: Los Angeles" Season 7 will premiere on CBS on September 21.
