As Apple released their 2015 flagship phone, the "iPhone 6S Plus", fans can't help but make the phone a point of comparison when buying a new smartphone. We can't deny the fact that the latest iPhone has been beefed up with high specs, but don't get too excited, there are also phones from this year that can effortlessly compete with Apple's weapon.
One good smartphone to compare with the 6S Plus is the "Moto X Pure Edition". The Moto phone was announced last July 28 and has started the preorders in the US just this September 2.

The Moto smartphone boasts with waterproof coating that the iPhone doesn't have. Despite being a smaller device, the Moto device has a bigger display of 5.7 inches with Quad HD resolution. The "Moto X Pure Edition" definitely has a shot when compared to the latest iPhone.
As to the PROCESSOR and STORAGE of the "iPhone 6S Plus", it uses the A9 chipset of Apple with a 2 GB RAM. As usual, no microSD slot is present on the device. The entire universe would've rejoiced if there is one. And as always, a variety of storage versions are available for the "iPhone 6S Plus" - 16 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB.
The "Moto X Pure Edition" on the other hand carries a beastly hexa core processor and Snapdragon chipset with 3 GB RAM. Its storage variety includes the 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB storgae. Unlike the iPhones, the Moto smartphone allows external microSD card of up to 128 GB.
The CAMERAS of the two phones are as competitive as the other 2015 released phones. The 6S Plus has an improved camera of 12 MP with 4K video recording and image stabilisation. It is also said to have a slow motion video recording. The front cam of 5 MP is also made even better as the screen was given a 3x brighter display to act as a front cam flash.
Meanwhile, the "Moto X Pure Edition" has a monstrous 21 MP back camera and a 5 MP front cam with front facing flash.
For the PERSONALIZATION of the two smartphones, both has a lot to offer.. You can choose from different colored covers for the front and back of the Moto phone. For the "iPhone 6S Plus", color options include silver, gold, rose gold, and space gray.
For the BATTERIES of the "iPhone 6S Plus" and the "Moto X Pure Edition", both are non removable. The Apple's device has a battery of 2750mAh and the Moto phone has a battery of 3000 mAh.
And most importantly, the PRICES! The "iPhone 6S Plus" 16 GB is priced at $749; the 64 GB is at $849; and the 128 GB is at $949. As for the "Moto X Pure Edition", the 16 GB is priced at $399; the 32 GB is at $449; and the 64 GB is priced at $499. Yes, there's a big price difference between the two phones. But this isn't a shocking revelation as the Apple devices are usually priced higher than its counterparts.
Now, the VERDICT. The two smartphones go head to head as far as specs are concerned. The water resistant build and front flash of the Moto phone can definitely take you away from your Apple fascination. But the 6S Plus' 4K technology and image stabilization may hold you back from going Android.
