'NBA Live 16' Demo and Face Scan App Now Live On PS4 and Xbox One

Earlier this week, Electronic Arts Inc. has launched the "NBA Live 16" demo on both Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. It was said that the game's demo hit New Zealand first through the Xbox One before it went public in other regions.

The demo for PlayStation 4, meanwhile, was expected to arrive in the PlayStation Store at around 3 p.m. Eastern Time after it was delayed for unknown reasons, a report from Design & Trend said on Thursday.

Saving Content reports that the free demo on both PS4 and Xbox One will give avid fans an opportunity to take a closer look at the brand new Live Pro-Am mode that features both the competitive Live Run and cooperative Summer circuit. Aside from this, gamers will be able to play tutorials and games that showcase Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors and many more.

"Summer Circuit is an online co-op mode where you travel across North America competing against NBA superstars on a journey to dominate the court. Every venue has unique challenges that award exclusive gear and skill upgrades. For the demo version, you're limited to four venues in Summer Circuit," reads a description from EA Sports blog

"Along with LIVE Pro-Am, check out exhibition-style play in Tip Off with six NBA teams (Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers, Oklahoma City Thunder, Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards and Houston Rockets). Take a look at the Learn LIVE tutorials and run some drills to learn the game controls and basketball play," the post added.

The game's companion app GameFace HD can now also be downloaded in Apple's App Store and Google Play. The app features a scanning technology that allows fans to easily scan their faces and upload it to the in-game character that will be used in LIVE Pro-Am.

It was said that the app scans the face of the player for only a second, while the whole procedure, including the scanning, uploading and receiving of the expected product, will take around five minutes.

"EA Access members can also play the full retail version of NBA LIVE 16 before it's released for a limited time starting September 24, only on Xbox One. 'NBA LIVE 16' is developed in Orlando, Florida by EA Tiburon and will be available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and will be available on Sept. 29 for $59.99," Design & Trend reports.
