2015 flagships of mobile giants are all over the internet as they all introduce us to a whole new level of technology. Whoever set the bar so high must have done something right as we all can't wait to get our hands on the latest series of smartphones. In the recent months, a number of phones has been announced and released, and two of the equally great phones that created noise are the "Samsung Galaxy S6" and the "LG G4".
Both these phones were released in April 2015 and they both ooze with high specs.
Let's cut to the chase and see how the two phones compare! As for the BODY, the S6's dimension is 143.4 x 70.5 x 6.8 mm and G4's dimension is 148.9 x 76.1 x 6.3 - 9.8 mm. S6 weighs 138 g while G4 weighs 155 g, not a very big difference if you are not too sensitive about matters of phone weight.
At some point regarding the phones' bodies, S6 may have a few features that the G4 doesn't have such as the PayPal certified fingerprint sensor and the Samsung Pay that are Visa and MasterCard certified as well.
For the DISPLAY, the "Samsung Galaxy S6" has Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors, 5.1 inches display size, and a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels with 577 ppi.
The "LG G4" on the other hand has IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with 16M colors, 5.5 inch display screen and a similar 1440 x 2560 pixels but with a 538 ppi density.
The OS of the S6 is Android v5.0.2 Lollipop upgradable to v5.1.1, while the G4 uses Android v5.1 Lollipop.
The chipset of S6 is Exynos 7420 and its CPU uses Quad core 1.5 GHz Cortex A53 and Quadcore 2.1 GHz Cortex A57.
As for the G4's chipset, it uses a Qualcomm MSM8992 Snapdragon 808. Its CPU uses a Quad core 1.44 GHz Cortex A 53 and dual core 1.82 GHz Cortex A57.
For the MEMORY of the "Samsung Galaxy S6", the selection includes 32gb, 64gb, and 128gb - all internal with no card slot. The "LG G4" on the other hand has a microSD slot that can cater up to 128gb, and its internal memory is a big 32gb. Both the S6 and the G4 has 3gb RAM.
The CAMERA features of the "Samsung Galaxy S6" include geo tagging, touch focus, face detection, auto HDR, and panorama. It has a 16mp primary cam with 2988 x 5312 pixels has optical image stabilization, autofocus, and LED flash. Its 5mp front cam also has auto HDR.
For the "LG G4", it has a 16mp primary camera with 5312 x 2988 pixels and laser autofocus. It also has optical image stabilization and LED flash. For its additional features, it has a 1/2.6" sensor size, simultaneous video and image recording, geo tagging, HDR, and face detection. It has an 8mp secondary camera that is a bit higher than that of the S6.
As for the BATTERIES, the "Samsung Galaxy S6" allows wireless charging and it allows up to 17h talk time or 49h music play. S6 uses a non-removable Li-Ion 2550 mAh battery.
The "LG G4" on the other hand boasts fast battery charging (60% in half an hour) and it also offers optional wireless charging. It uses a Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery that allows up to 19-20h of talk time.
For a CONCLUSION, "Samsung Galaxy S6"'s fingerprint scanner is an eye catcher. But the "LG G4"'s fast charging wouldn't go unapperciated as well, especially in a world of fast moving and busy people.
