'Persona 5' News: RPG Game's Release Date Delayed to 2016

Gamers who were looking forward to "Persona 5" on Playstation 3 and 4 have to wait a little bit longer to get their hands on the RPG game. Atlus has just announced that the game's release has been pushed back to the summer of 2016. The developers are still in the process of crafting the best version of the game.

Chief director Katsura Hashino shares that all the big parts of the game are complete, and it's just a matter of fine-tuning all elements. Hashino also asks the fans for a little bit more patience as they work hard to meet everyone's expectations towards the much-awaited game.

The Verge named labeled the game as a cult favorite and one of the most anticipated games of the year, along with "Persona 4: Dancing All Night." The source says that the series is still one of the few RPG franchises that entice Western users up until this day.

In lieu of the delay, Atlus has released a long trailer for "Persona 5" during the Tokyo Game Show 2015. The new trailer shows exciting combat scenes and awesome gameplay previews. Polygon reports that it is still uncertain whether the new release time frame applies for just Japan or if it includes the rest of the world.

Previous titles from the "Persona" series were set in traditional Japan, but in "Persona 5," the game is set in the bustling city. The game still features high school students who are working hard to balance fighting demons, their social life, and getting by in school.
