YouTube Announces Live Streaming For Android Gamers

Game streaming is receiving all the rage these days, so Youtube got a brilliant idea, and they chose to announce it at the Tokyo Game Show. The company announced that gamers of the Android platform will soon have the access to stream their game directly to Youtube. This should be a very good news for Android gamers who might have felt left behind by some iOS-only services.

The announcement was also partly brought about by mobile gaming's rising popularity in Japan. This is also why Youtube made another announcement that Japan would be the next one to get a version of Youtube Gaming.

As per Ryan Wyatt, Youtube's Global Head of Gaming Partnerships, "Japan's mobile games define its gaming culture, far more so than in other countries," and that the mobile gaming trend "shows there's a real need for gamers to easily share what's on their screen with the gaming community, as it happens."

Even though Youtube's idea isn't exactly groundbreaking, as there is already 'Twitch' that gives the same service, 'Twitch' is not well embraced in Japan, and it also doesn't cater to non iOS mobile gamers. Also, Twitch doesn't have the ability to stream at 60 fps through HTML5, and it doesn't have the DVR functionalities that allows people to pause, rewind, or quicken the stream - all of which the Youtube Gaming can do.

Youtube Gaming has already been launched in the United States as well as in the UK, but as for the release date for the Android streaming in Youtube, no official announcement has been made yet, aside from the company's promise that it will come "soon".

All these new gaming technology definitely brings all gamers worldwide to excitement, and big companies like Youtube shall be one of the top companies we can expect to bring the gaming trend to new heights.
