One of the world's largest online stores, Amazon, recently announced that they are selling a new 7-inch Fire tablet for $50.00 or to be more exact, the new 7-inch Fire tablet costs $49.99. And if you would be buying in bulk, the company offers their new 7-inch tablet at $250 for a six-pack, thus bringing the Fire tablet into just $41 each. And this offer is classified by Amazon's senior vice president for Amazon devices, David Limp, as a "sweet spot, the consumption of media."
However some tech experts suggest that you should first try to check the $50 Fire tablet that Amazon offers. Try first to scrutinize the 7" quad core Fire tablet before you buy or even recommend it with some friends or relatives. And Patrick Moorhead via Forbes shared some of the things that an interested buyer of Amazon's new $50 7-inch quad core tablet should realize.
Processor
The new tablet from amazon has an anonymous processor on board, though quad core as it is, the brand is not revealed. According to Moorhead, it would likely be that the new 7 inch Fire tablet of Amazon comes with a low-end A7 processor which is being used by some of the lowest end phones today. With this matter being revealed, users would have to expect a slower tablet in comparison with other brands on the market which has the latest A9 cores on their product.
RAM
Latest versions of tablets nowadays are packed with 2GB RAM, but as to forbes article, the said $50 Fire Tablet of Amazon comes with 1GB RAM, needless to say that its performance would likely be slower.
Google Play Concerns
As part of Amazon's marketing strategy, Moorhead cited that the new 7-inch tablet will not support Google Play apps, games and movies. For Amazon having their own product lines of music, movies, apps, games and e-book, would like you to download it from their site.
Those are some of the many things that you as a buyer should check with the new $50 7-inch quad core tablet of Amazon. Though Amazon boast that their new Fire tablet is "almost 2x more durable than the latest iPad Air," still with some of its features one might doubt its durability.
You might have already purchased or was able to use the new tablet from Amazon and if so, what is your verdict of the said product or what are your expectations from it? Feel free to share your thoughts below.
