Celebrity Q&A Exclusive: Actor Rainn Wilson Dishes about Hanging at Home with His Zonkey

Actor and philanthropist Rainn Wilson talks about hanging at home where he grew up without enjoying it. "It was a dready, unhappy place,'' Wilson said, who is happy for the fact that his son, Walter, likes staying home so much that he oftentimes requests staycations.

Zillow said that Wilson and wife Holiday Reinhorn stay in their Los Angeles home listening to great music and sometimes entertaining guests. With the release of his horror-comedy "Cooties,'' the actor usually takes a moment between acting and volunteering for the Mona Foundation. He also talked to Zillow about his farmhouse in the city.

When asked what he enjoys most about his home, he may answer that it's not a grand house like a celebrity home, but it's warm and inviting with lots of different places to sit. There's a meditation nook and a bench outside for contemplation. A couple of walls were knocked out when Wilson's family moved in, so the main room comes bright and like a big farm house.

Actor Rainn Wilson, wife Holiday Reinhorn and their son Walter are happily sharing their home with zonkey Derek and mini-horse Riba.

Homes Yahoo reported that when asked if he and the whole family have a creative space, or if it does blend into the whole home, Wilson answered, "My wife and I each have own offices where we do a great deal of writing. But we have a creative space in every room we have in some way. The music room is also our TV room. The garage has a Ping-Pong table and a gym. We also displayed art in every nook."

Wilson was also asked how he saw the relationship between the home and the surrounding environment. He answered, "We live in Los Angeles that's zoned for horses, and most homes are on big lots. Most of the area has a California rustic look, and we designed everything to have a modern farmhouse look so the house feels right at home in the neighborhood."
