‘Zoo’ Season 1 Review: Final Episode of Season One Leaves Fans Asking For More

"Zoo" Season One finale finds the group of Jackson, Mitch, Chloe, and Abraham facing a crowd of afflicted animals as they race towards Jamie's location to get the cure.

In the last episode of "Zoo" season one, Jamie survives but is presumed dead. She is found by a mysterious man named Anik who took her to his cabin in the woods where he nursed her back from her injuries. According to TV Line, Jamie tries to escape believing she was being held captive somewhere. Later she realizes that her location is the only safe place in an area populated by infected animals. She also learns that Anik was the one who saved her and is her only chance at getting back to her crew in the U.S.

Meanwhile, in the same report by TV Line, it has been months since the crash and Mitch is trying to cope with the loss of Jamie by drinking. Abraham has found a better way to deal with the tragedy by signing up as an "escort" for people who needed protection from the animals while they are in transit. Jackson is on the verge of breaking down as he tries to find a way to distribute the cure since it would decompose in the atmosphere. He finally realizes through an incident in a convenience store that mosquitoes would be perfect in dispersing the cure. However, problem struck as the leopard that had the antidote has gone rogue and Reiden managed to convince the government to destroy all living beasts as the final solution.

What they did not know is that Jamie has the leopard which was named "Posivak" by Anik and that all they needed to do was to find her. Anik found a way for Jamie to call Mitch and soon the group were in a rush to seek out Jamie and the cure. In a review by TV.com, the last sequence of the finale showed the group headed by Jackson being confronted by a massive crowd of rabid animals. The show then faded to black leaving fans wanting more and critics asking if there will be another season.
