Guy Wilson is exiting from role in the "Days of Our Lives," Serial Scoop has confirmed. This comes after the actor's departure from the soap was rumored last month.
Serial Scoop has confirmed the apparent demise of Wilson's character, Will Horton, next month. "It's hard to believe a legacy character--the firstborn of Sami Brady, no less--would be axed from a show looking to beef up its next generation. Perhaps Will could return from the dead someday. In the world of soap operas, anything is possible," Serial Scoop wrote.
DOOL producers have earlier promised a surprising victim involving a member of a core family, and Will is one. Rumor has it that he will end up dead as he tried to save his grandmother Marlena from The Necktie Killer. Will's death would have a major impact on Salem, Celeb Dirty Laundry said.
Meanwhile, Freddie Smith, Will's husband Sonny, is set to return briefly to the soap in October, according to Soap Shows, perhaps for the memorial service of Will. They're the first married male gay couple among soaps, and unfortunately, Will's death also marks the end of this partnership.
Alison Sweeney, Will's mother Sami, is also slated to return to Salem after learning the death of her son.
The serial killer storyline caused several dramatic exits from the show, as what producers have promised, said CDL. Executive producer Ken Corday has said that all characters who died after Sept. 1 are gone for good. But soaps, anything is possible so fans can still hope for a revival of their favorites, Will included, at one point or another in the future.
Wilson debuted in "Days of Our Lives" in January 2014, taking over the role of Chandler Massey, who won three Emmys for his performance of that character.
