‘Doctor Who’ Cast Pays Tribute to the Beatles with ‘Abbey Road’ Pose

The cast of "Doctor Who" took inspiration from the Fab Four using their 1969 album "Abbey Road" as theme for their promotional pictorial for the premier of the show's season nine.

"Doctor Who" himself, actor Peter Capaldi together with Jenna Coleman also known as "Clara" in the series shot the famous pose with two of the show's well-known robotic villains called "Daleks." Coleman even took her shoes off to walk barefoot which is what Beatle Paul McCartney did for their original photo shoot. The actress has also confirmed that rumors about her leaving the show are true and that she is headed for the show "Victoria." Coleman said in an interview, "I have left the Tardis. It's happened. I've filmed my last scenes."

Meanwhile, Metro reported that the pictorial of "Doctor Who" outside the iconic London studio came just as few days before the new series of the show is aired on Saturday. Coleman's announcement of her departure came ahead of the release of the photo for media circulation. While there was no clue as to how her character "Clara Oswald" will be removed from the show, Coleman's portrayal of McCartney's barefoot stunt has led to a new speculation.

In the same report by Metro, McCartney's barefoot pictorial for "Abbey Road" was said to be a representation of a dead person or a corpse. There was even a theory that circulated that McCartney died in 1966 and that the person who appears in the album cover was a stand in who just looked like the famous Beatle. This connection is paving the way for another theory, only this time it involves Coleman's character "Clara" and how she will exit from "Doctor Who." Rumors are coming out that maybe she will be "killed off" but it remains to be seen when season 9 premieres.
