'House of Cards' Mystery Solved: 'Kevin Spacey' Reveals Who 'Frank Underwood' Talks to in Front of Camera

For three seasons, Frank Underwood has always amused fans with his thoughts. In every episode of "House of Cards", he takes the time to spill out his opinions and intentions by talking to the camera, making every viewer feel like he or she is the only person to whom he can share his deepest and darkest secrets. But as amazing as it may seem, fans could not help but wonder who he really speaks to every time he faces the camera. It has become one of TV's greatest mysteries, according to E! Online, and the mystery has just been solved.

According to E! Online, when Kevin Spacey appeared on Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he made the biggest revelation about the character he plays on "House of Cards", Frank Underwood. Stephen Colbert asked Spacey, "Who do you think you're talking to when you talk right to the camera? Who is that person? Is it like a close confidant? Because the persona you're actually talking to, of course, are people on a 10-hour Netflix binge, sucking on boxed wine."

His reply was straightforward and surprising that it made the crowd go crazy. "This is the truth, from the very beginning," the Oscar-winner said. "When I'm looking directly into that camera, I'm talking to one person and one person only, and that is Donald Trump." So Frank Underwood knew all along that Donald Trump would be running for president on 2016.

"House of Cards" is confirmed to return to Netflix with its season 4, but the network has yet to announce a definite date. It will pick up where it left off last season with Claire (Robin Wright) leaving President Frank Underwood. For fans who are impatient and want to get some spoilers, don't expect to get any from Spacey because according to E! Online, he has told the press in March, "I have such respect for the audience and the fact...there are people who still haven't watched season one...So I kind of have a policy about this: I won't discuss any plot points or anything that happens in any season and I haven't ever, for three years. As I said, it's one of the most satisfying parts of being in this show. I can't actually do it because I can't be the Spoiler in Chief." And when he mentioned Donald Trump, he reportedly was only joking.

Do you think Donald Trump would be pleased to watch the fourth season of "House of Cards" knowing that Frank Underwood would be talking to him directly?
