In Season 3 of "Penny Dreadful," a lot of new characters will be introduced in the show and someone will also return.
The Season 2 of the show ended in a surprising way when the villainous Evelyn (Helen McCory) was killed by werewolf Ethan (Josh Hartnett). Meanwhile, Vanessa (Eva Green) asked Ethan to run away with her only to find out that he rejected her, when she woke up alone. It was revealed that Ethan surrendered to Rusk (Douglas Hodge) and was extradited back to America.
Showrunner John Logan revealed some of the details about the possible addition to the show's cast. It was earlier reported that some of the famous literary characters like Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde will be appearing in the show. Logan said that after two years, they are finally adding another famous character and they are excited in bringing this character in the current world of the show.
According to Christian Post, Patti Lupone will be returning to the show as a series regular. It was reported that her role in Season 3 is quite different from the roles she has done in the past seasons. She will reportedly be playing the role of Doctor Seward, who is an American therapist and will help Vanessa with her unconventional methods.
Meanwhile, some of the cast members were recently seen dressed up as their characters on the set. Eva Green was seen wearing a long black skirt with a black-fitted jacket. It was reported that the outfit was Victorian Goth-inspired. The actress was seen in the location in Dublin for Season 3.
Daily Mail also reports that actress Billie Piper was seen in full Victorian costume for the production of the show in Dublin. The 32-year-old actress will reportedly reprise her role as Lily Frankenstein, who is an Irish immigrant trying to escape her brutal past.
As of writing, there is still no scheduled release for Season 3, but it is expected that "Penny Dreadful" will return in the early part of 2016.
