Game developer Bandai Namco has announced earlier this week that both Lucina and Chrom from "Fire Emblem: Awakening" and Fiora from "Xenoblade Chronicles" will be joining the cast of "Project X Zone." 2." It was said that "Project X Zone 2," a 3DS strategy roleplaying game developed by Monolith Software, will feature other characters from both SEGA and Capcom, a report from Gamespot said.
"With Project X Zone 2: Brave New World the roster is expanding even more, with Nintendo characters joining the fight. Fire Emblem Awakening's Chrom and Lucina will find themselves at home in the turn-based SRPG world, but this time the combat they face will be a lot more combo focused. As for Xenoblade Chronicles, it may come as no surprise to see Shulk's childhood friend Fiora making an appearance, considering Monolith Soft developed both games. Of course, this also means fans of the developer's previous 'Xeno' game, Bandai Namco's Xenosaga, will be in for a treat as Fiora will be forming a pair unit and fighting alongside the iconic KOS-MOS," Nintendo Inquirer said.
It can be recalled that "Project X Zone 2" was announced earlier, in April. The game features characters from "Yakuza: Dead Souls," "Megaman X," "Devil May Cry," "Resident Evil," "Tekken," "Tales of Vesperia," and more. It was said that the game will be released exclusively on the 3DS, according to IGN.
"Previous cross-over characters already revealed for the game include Phoenix Wright (from the Ace Attorney series); X & Zero (from Mega Man X); Ken, Ryu, and Chun-Li (from Street Fighter); and Segata Sanshiro (from the Japanese Sega Saturn commercials)," the publication added.
"Project X Zone 2: Brave New World" is slated to be released on February 16, 2016 in North America. The game's release date in Europe is set for February 19 on Nintendo 3DS.
